    History:  The paddle passenger steamer was built in steel in 1900. Dimensions 135’ x 21’x 9’.7”Engine :   Diagonal disconnecting, two cylinders 30”x 48” Feathering floats. 65 NHP 450 IHP, made 1887 by W.Allsup & Sons, Preston, GB.  Boiler : Coal burning Scotch type. She has just undergone Board of trade for Seagoing Passenger Certificate to carry 376 passengers between Scarborough and Norwich and had extensive renewals and repair. This includes several news plates in bottom, cabins forward and aft re-fitted and re-upholstered, new lifeboats, new lifesaving apparatus, new steam windless, new lord Kelvin compass end even renamed. Was dismantled and breaked up 1935.
 

    The Model: Scale 7/16”to 1’, Hull and superstructure made in wood ( red cedar) frames in pine plywood, epoxi resin applied inside to fasten and calk. The floor made in Ivory Wood, mast and fenders in Birch. The engine is the Reeves diagonal paddle with two cylinders double acting single expansion. The boiler is a Clyde type (return tubes & dry back) all in copper and silver soldered. The radio is an old Futaba 6 channel proportional, functions: 1 rudder, 2 whistle, 3 speed, and 4 front rudder, 5-boiler flame control, 6 forward  & astern control.

Painting: as original, hull white & dull red,  superstructure mahogany, wheels red,  wheels cover pale green, stack & mast , pale yellow and top black , hand rails white, life boats mahogany, davits pale yellow. The model can also sail with electric propulsion, you just change the kit, and in this way you will be able to participate in two modalities of regattas. The model was renamed after my daughter name  “Beatrix” and princess because she is the princess of my boats collection.
